Rev. Veronica P. Palmer
Rev. Veronica P. Palmer is the newly appointed Senior Pastor at Calvary-Roseville United Methodist Church. A native of the island of Jamaica, she resided in Canada for several years before migrating to the United States.
Rev. Palmer is an Elder in the Great New Jersey Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. For the past four years she has been the District Superintendent for the Raritan Valley District. She has served local churches in rural, urban and suburban communities across New Jersey. Rev. Palmer also served as the Assistant Dean of New Brunswick Theological Seminary for four years.
Rev. Palmer earned her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) & Bachelor of Theology (B.Th) from Canada Christian College, and the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Canada Christian College School of Graduate Theological Studies in Toronto, Canada. She completed work for the Master of Sacred Theology (Th.M) at the Theological School at Drew University and holds a Master’s in Sacred Theology (S.T.M.) from Princeton Theological Seminary.
Rev. Palmer believes that “churches should be active in evangelism, faith sharing, and justice ministries and be aware and responsive to its multi-ethnic environment, and continue in spiritual formation.” In her present appointment, it is her desire to see Calvary-Roseville UMC become a teaching church and continue to be a beacon of hope in the community. Indeed, “together we can.”
